Supremo Tribunal Federal

Between May and July 2025, the Federal Supreme Court heard 149 individuals named by the prosecution and the defense, along with a court informant who had entered into a plea agreement. The hearings were conducted by Justice Alexandre de Moraes or by auxiliary judges from his chambers.

Witness hearings are extensive and essential stages of the proceedings, enabling the Court to form its judgment by confronting the prosecution’s and the defense’s accounts, with testimonies providing relevant information and evidence.

All hearings were conducted in accordance with the rules established by Brazilian criminal procedure law and were covered by both national and international media. At the conclusion of the testimonies, all information was duly made public in the case records.
